Definition: A trainer trains a dog using operant conditioning and either postive or negative reinforment. A trainer changes the dogs body position through repetition. Training requires consistency and repetition of the desire skill; for example sitting, lying down or staying. A trainer that evokes fear or intimation should be avoided at all costs
