- Ask the groomer how he / she retains dogs
- Normally this will be done on a groomer table with a loop that goes around the neck and attaches to the bar on top of the grooming table
- Most dogs will adjust well to this positioning and some will try to jump off the table
- Practice at home on a table – hold a leash loosely around and above their neck. This will allow your dog to become comfortable being help from above and it will make the groomers job easier
