- Elevate the food and water bowls to roughly half the height of the dog’s front legs so they look comfortable (this is only applicable to medium and large dogs)
- It is important that they do not suck in air along with the food and water as this may creating potential bloat issues.
- If your dog is a power eater and gobbles up everything too quickly, consider placing a large smooth stone in a larger bowl and then put water or chicken broth over the food. This effective method will teach your dog to eat slower as she pushes the stone out of the way with her nose. She will will be less likely that your dog will gulp, chock or aspirate their food
- We don’t recommend using bowls with plastic spikes, your dog may injure their nose of teeth if they slam their muzzle into the hardened plastic or metal.
