Foster Homes
Foster homes are provided by volunteers who allow a dog to stay with them before they are adopted by their forever family. Thankfully, you’ll often know a lot about the dog you adopt because the foster family will have spent time with that particular dog.
These homes provide a much-needed place for these dogs to stay and often the rescue groups provide the food, medical care, toys, beds, etc for each dog. Sometimes foster families pay out-of-pocket for these items to contribute to the rescue. We have known many dogs who have been adopted by their foster families – as “foster fails”! Rescues always need good homes, so if you’re interested, please contact your local rescue group and help a pup out!
