Crates that are solid and secure and are properly assembled, can provide a safe way for your dog to travel. Depending on the size and type of vehicle you have, one particular type might work better than another. If you have a larger or very heavy dog, it is probably best to attempt an airline crate which can be secured with bungee cords to your car seats or cargo area. Make sure there are no sharp edges or objects that could potentially hurt your dog in case of an accident or sudden stop.

Remember, NEVER leave your dog unattended in a car for any reason, even if there is the remote possibility that the temperature could be excessive.
